Pilgrim Play Date
A Family Event
Sunday, October 5th from 1:00 to 3:00 PM


Historical interpreters all the way from historic Plimoth Plantation will be on hand to interact with visitors of all ages. Kids can also play with reproduction toys, try on historic costumes and snack on 19th-century treats. Period rooms will also be open for viewing. Reservations required. $12, $8 Children, $10 Members

Behind the Scenes at the Museum
Curator’s Tour
Tuesday, October 14th at 6:30 PM


Join Museum curator Clare Flemming as she highlights some of the rarely-seen historic gems from the Museum collection including original documents of the Founding Fathers. Reservations are required. $12, $10 Members

An Evening with Poe
Wed. October 29th; Thurs. 30th; Fri. 31st at 6:15 & 8 PM

Gather in the shadows this Halloween for a bone-chilling reading from the letters and tales of Edgar Allan Poe. Acclaimed Poe reenactor Kevin Mitchell Martin performs his renowned one-man play based on the life and writings of Poe. Appropriate for children over 10 years of age. Reservations are required. $20, $18 Members

America’s Sweet Tooth
Tuesday, November 11th at 6:30 PM

Join author and food historian Francine Segan on a whirlwind tour of the history of sweets in America. Wine provided by Admiral Imports and samplings of historic sweets will be served. Reservations are required. $15, $12 Members

Sugar: America’s Sweet Obsession
This mini exhibit explores the early beginnings of America’s love affair with sweet treats. Free with Museum admission.

Storytime
Third Friday of every Month at 10:30 am

Appropriate for children ages 2 to 6
$8 Adults, free for children under 12, free for Family Museum Members

Meet in the Museum for a monthly Storytime where kids can enjoy historically-themed stories, dress up in the Children’s Corner and role-play with the Museum’s “Touch Collection”. On warm days, kids can gather for Storytime in the Garden Gazebo and play with old-fashioned wooden toys. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
